West Asia Cup: Indian team awaits NOC from Pakistan Interior Ministry

• West Asia Baseball Cup will be held in Islamabad.

The Indian baseball team is awaiting the West Asia Baseball Cup, which will be held in Islamabad, No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Pakistan Interior Ministry.

From January 25 through February 1st, the competition will take place in the nation’s capital.

President Pakistan Federation Baseball, Fakhar Ali Shah said: “Indian side are waiting for NOC from Pakistan Interior Ministry. The members of the Indian team have submitted their passports for visas. “

Meanwhile, Pakistan granted visas to Palestine baseball team to participate in the tournament.

“Visas have been issued to the 21-member Palestinian team,” Fakhar said.

Six teams compete in the West Asia Cup, including the host nation Pakistan, Palestine, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan.

The home team is getting ready for the match in full force.

The XIV South Asian Games were originally scheduled to take place in March 2023, but the event was later postponed to March 2024 by the South Asia Olympic Council. It is important to note that earlier, the Baseball Softball Federation of India (BSFI) wrote a letter to the Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) to confirm their participation in the Baseball event (SAOC).
