Many cricket fans have responded to Bhogle’s tweet with their opinions on the standard of the PSL pitches in response to the debate it has sparked.

While some have criticised the pitches for not helping the bowlers enough, others have defended the tracks, claiming that they are equitable to both batsmen and bowlers.

Harsha Bhogle made a big deal about the pitch favoring the batters during yesterday’s match between Peshawar and Lahore. In PSL 8, Lahore Qalandars eventually scored the most runs.

Qalandars scored 241 runs with their batters smashing boundaries all over the ground, led by Shaheen Afridi. In response, Zalmi were limited to 201 runs but passed the 200-run mark.

Many young pacers who are making a name for themselves in the PSL are known for their fast bowling ability.

This year, however, players such as Babar Azam, Azam Khan, Abdullah Shfique Mohammad Rizwan, and a few new emerging talents have been scoring runs at will, indicating that the pitches are not as bowler-friendly as they have been in the past.

While some experts have attributed the lack of grass cover to the fields, others have noted that Pakistan’s dry climate may also be a contributing factor.

Despite the criticisms, the PSL has persisted in producing some thrilling cricket, with numerous close matches and suspenseful outcomes.

It is still early in the tournament, so it is unclear if the pitches will continue to favor the batsmen or if the bowlers will eventually figure out a way to adapt.
