PSL 2023: Islamabad United won against Quetta Gladiators by 63 runs

Azam Khan starred as Islamabad United thrashed Quetta Gladiators by 63 runs in the 13th match of the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) at the National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi on Friday.

Islamabad posted a 221-run target on the scoreboard before bowling out Quetta for 157 in 19.1 overs, thanks to a sensational batting display by Azam and a great display by the bowlers.

Mohammad Hafeez played a crucial innings for Quetta, scoring 48 runs off 26 balls. However, he fell to Afghan pacer Fazalhaq in the 11th over. Iftikhar Ahmed tried to take charge, scoring 39 runs off 27 balls before getting out to Hasan Ali.

All-rounder Odean Smith, Mohammad Hasnain, and Naseem Shah were sent back inside five deliveries.

Azam Khan starred as Islamabad United set a mammoth target of 221 runs against Quetta Gladiators, smashing 97 runs in 42 balls, including nine boundaries and eight maximums.

After the Gladiators claimed quick wickets, Azam and Asif Ali hit boundaries to get Islamabad United back in the game. Asif managed to gather 42 runs off 24 balls, laced up with a boundary and four maximums.

Azam continued to hit boundaries and put on a 51-run partnership with Faheem Ashraf (17) to help his side reach the big total. For Islamabad, Fazalhaq and Hasan Ali claimed three wickets each, while Shadab and Abrab secured two scalps each.
