Tim David, a flashy Singaporean-Australian cricketer, will be unavailable to Multan Sultans for at least the first seven games of this season’s Pakistan Super League (PSL).

The change occurred after the cricket player’s trainers suggested that he think about limiting his effort.

Currently, the 26-year-old is in South Africa to compete for MI Cape Town in the SAT20. After competing in the Big Bash League in Australia, he immediately took a flight to South Africa where he has featured in over 40 games over the past six months.

He was initially counselled by his trainers to select either SAT20 or PSL, according to sources, but the flamboyant all-rounder stated he can’t forgo PSL because of his affiliation with the league.

Tim David will now join the team in the first week of March, according to a Multan Sultans official, but he will miss the team’s first seven games.

“He will be available for last three games and playoffs, if we qualify,” said Haider Azhar, CEO of Multan Sultans.

He affirmed that no replacement had been sought because David Miller would be able to fill Tim David’s spot for the Sultans.

After participating in the first eight games for Multan Sultans, David Miller of South Africa will fly home. According to the team, there is no need to bring in another replacement since Tim David will be available for the later stages of the season and Miller will be available for the first eight games.

Meanwhile, Wayne Parnell’s injury has caused Multan Sultans to suffer yet another blow. The left-armer had a groyne injury during SAT20, and it is questionable whether he will be available for the first matches. Multan Sultans is waiting for his final medical report to assess the nature of the injury.

For the entire PSL season, Rilee Rossouw and Keiron Pollard will be at the franchise’s disposal. However, because to Ireland’s series against Bangladesh, pacer Josh Little might not participate in the playoffs.
