Faheem Ashraf, an all-rounder for Islamabad United, has stated that he wants to play well for his team during the eighth Pakistan Super League (PSL) and return to the national T20 team.

In a conversation, Faheem stated: “Like every other player, I have also planned to perform well for my team and a make comeback in the Pakistan team.”

“PSL is the biggest tournament in Pakistan, and if you perform in this event, you will automatically be selected for the national team,” he added.

When asked what his objective is for the PSL 8, the left-handed batter responded, “Last year I tried to improve my batting, along with my bowling, but this year I am focused on giving good bowling performances.”

The all-around player expressed his happiness at joining Islamabad United, two-time champions.

He added: “We have the same squad as last year. We will try to play good cricket and win the title.”

According to Faheem, the PSL gives every player the opportunity to share a dressing room with overseas cricketers, and the league’s strong pressure aids in players’ growth.

On February 16, Islamabad United will face Karachi Kings in their opening game at the National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi.

United would like to win the championship this year after losing in the second round of elimination in PSL 7.

On March 19, the PSL final and closing ceremony will take place in Lahore, which will also serve as the site of the playoffs.

Lahore Qalandars will try to become the first team to win consecutive championships, while Islamabad United will try to make history by winning the trophy three times.
