In the final league stage encounter of the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) season eight at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Karachi Kings, who won the toss and elected to bat first against Lahore Qalandars, have set a goal of 197 runs.

Mohammad Akhlaq, the opener, had the highest score with 51 runs in 36 balls, which included two sixes and five fours.

Imad Wasim, the captain, added 45 runs while Tayyab Tahir scored 40 runs.

For Lahore, Zaman Khan, Haris Rauf, and Hussain Talat each secured two wickets.

Shaheen Afridi, the captain, is not playing today because Lahore has already advanced to the playoffs. David Wiese is the captain of the defending champions in the pacer’s absence.

Because the Karachi Kings were eliminated from the tournament’s playoff race earlier, they are competing for pride.

Peshawar Zalmi defeated Islamabad United by 13 runs in the opening game of the day in Rawalpindi, ensuring that the two clubs will face off in the first elimination round of the competition.

The outcome also guaranteed that Multan Sultans and Lahore Qalandars will compete in the tournament’s qualifier.

Eliminator 1 will take place on March 16, while the Qualifier, the winner of which will advance directly to the final, will be played on March 15.

For a ticket in the final, the loser of the Qualifier and the victor of Eliminator 1 will compete against one another in Eliminator 2 on March 17.
