Khushdil Shah of the Multan Sultans was fined 10% of the match money for a level 1 violation of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Workers on Friday during PSL 8’s encounter between his team and Peshawar Zalmi at the Pindi Cricket Stadium.

In a statement, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said, “Khushdil was charged for violating Article 2.4 which reads as disobeying an umpire’s instruction during the match. The incident took place in the 15th over of Multan Sultans’ batting, when Khushdil, twice in the over asked umpires to check the ball,”

“Since Khushdil pleaded guilty to the charge and accepted the sanctions proposed by match referee Muhammad Javed, there was no need for a formal hearing.”

“The charge was imposed by on-field umpires Ahsan Raza and Martin Saggers.”

The PCB previously penalized Tim David and Shan Masood of Multan Sultans, Shadab Khan, the captain of Islamabad United, and pacer Fazalhaq Farooqi for violating the code of conduct.

As punishment for violating the PCB Code of Conduct for Players and Players Support Workers for Thursday night’s PSL 8 encounter between Islamabad and Lahore Qalandars at the Pindi Cricket Stadium, Farooqi was fined 10% of his match money.

“Farooqi pleaded guilty to the charge and accepted the sanction proposed by match referee Roshan Mahanama. The charge was levelled by on-field umpires Aleem Dar and Faisal Khan Afridi.”

Shadab Khan, the captain of Islamabad, Shan Masood, and Tim David, players for Multan Sultans, were all fined ten percent of their match costs for breaking the PSL Code of Conduct in separate incidents on Tuesday during their team’s PSL 8 encounter.

PCB stated, “All three players were found to have violated Article 2.8 of the PSL Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to showing dissent at an Umpire’s decision during a match.”
