Lahore Qalandars, the defending champions, are likely only two steps away from being the first team in Pakistan Super League history to successfully defend its championship (PSL).

After six long years, Qalandars finally won the PSL championship last season after defeating Multan Sultans at Lahore’s famed Gaddafi Stadium.

Before the seventh league season began, Qalandars had an entirely different appearance thanks to their new skipper Shaheen Shah Afridi.

Shaheen changed the course of the Qalandars’ season because of their consistency throughout the past year, which demonstrates the dedication the new captain instilled in the group.

In the league stage of the PSL this year, they continued to lead the standings after winning seven out of ten games. The Qalandars have now turned their attention to the March 15 qualifier versus the Sultans.
