Lahore Qalandars, the defending champions, are in first place after winning seven of their first nine games, while Karachi Kings have been out of sorts, winning just twice. In a lacklustre campaign for the Kings, Imad Wasim has been the team’s standout performer, scoring 359 runs at a strike rate of 174.27, while Mohammad Amir has taken a team-high nine wickets.

In addition to Sikandar Raza, Sam Billings, and Abdullah Shafique, Fakhar Zaman has amassed 365 runs at a strike rate of 173.80 for the Lahore Qalandars. The top two wicket-takers for their team are Rashid Khan (15) and Shaheen Shah Afridi (14) respectively.

When the two teams faced off in February, the Kings finished off an unexpected 67-run victory.

One of the few teams to keep Lahore Qalandars quiet, Karachi Kings bowled them out for 118 earlier in the competition. Imad Wasim won player of the match honours after scoring 35 runs (19 balls) and contributing 1 for 23 while Akif Javed finished with 4 for 28.

They will be hoping for a similar performance from their bowlers because if not, they may have a difficult day facing the talented Lahore Qalandars batting lineup.
