Shahid Afridi praises his ex-teammate Misbah-ul-Haq & Mohammad Amir
After Mohammad Amir and Misbah-ul-Haq reunited in the ongoing Legends League Cricket (LLC) in Qatar, Pakistan’s former captain Shahid Afridi lavished praise on his former teammate.
Amir, who retired from international cricket in 2020 in protest of Misbah’s management of the Pakistan team, captained Asia Lions during LLC.
After his picture with Misbah, Afridi, and other Pakistani cricketers wearing Lions gear went viral, the former fast bowler received a lot of criticism.
Afridi replied, “Misbah has the quality of forgiving,” when asked about resolving conflicts between Amir and Misbah on a local television show.
He said, “I think sometimes players give statements without realising that at some point they can come across each other,”
“They should avoid giving such statements,” said Afridi in reference to Amir’s statement in which he blamed Misbah for doing injustice with him in the national team.
“I would like to give credit to Misbah here. I am not praising him because he is sitting here with me in the show. He has the quality of forgiving which you rarely find in our society.”
The Lions are represented in LLC by Amir, Afridi, Sohail Tanvir, Abdul Razzaq, Mohammad Hafeez, and Shoaib Akhtar.
LLC is a three-team competition featuring world-renowned cricketers. The event is being held in Doha, Qatar.
Pakistan’s unbelievable cricketers including Afridi, Misbah, Mohammad Hafeez, Shoaib Akhtar, Abdul Razzak, Mohammad Amir and Sohail Tanvir will be in real life during the competition.
LLC 2023 will take place in Qatar from March 10 to March 20. It is important to note that Qatar is looking forward to hosting additional major sporting events in the future after hosting the FIFA World Cup for the first time last year.
