Imad Wasim and Hasan Ali swap teams in blockbuster PSL deal

• In a major PSL trade, Imad Wasim and Hasan Ali have switched teams.
• The trade was announced by the PCB on Wednesday.
• Wasim was named the All-Rounder of HBL PSL 8.

The Pakistan Super League acknowledged on Wednesday that one of the greatest deals in its history has taken place, with Hasan Ali joining the 2020 PSL winners and Karachi Kings captain Imad Wasim joining Islamabad United.

“HBL PSL 5 winning captain Imad Wasim will don Islamabad United colours in the ninth edition of the tournament. Imad, who was named as the All-Rounder of HBL PSL 8, has been snapped by Islamabad United in the Platinum category,” the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said in a brief press release.

“Hasan Ali (Diamond category) moves to Karachi Kings. By virtue of this player trade, Karachi Kings have received Islamabad United’s first round silver pick in exchange for their second round silver pick,” it added.

aft draws closer, things are starting to happen. Today, the captain of the Karachi Kings, who has been with the team since the first season, made a historic deal to join the 2016 PSL winners.

Imad finished first in the PSL 8 competition with 404 runs and nine wickets in ten games.

“Eight seasons of passion and dedication, steering us through victories and providing leadership that brought us a trophy and countless golden memories. You’ve been the heartbeat of Karachi Kings,” Karachi Kings said as they bid farewell to Imad Wasim.

However, bowler Hasan Ali, who made his team debut in PSL 7, also received well wishes from Islamabad United.

It should be mentioned that the pick order for the PSL 9 Player Draft has already been made public by the PCB.

The first pick will go to the Quetta Gladiators, followed by the two-time champion Islamabad United and the Karachi Kings in order of preference. Peshawar Zalmi and Multan Sultans, the runners-up from the previous season, will make the fourth and fifth picks, respectively, while Lahore Qalandars, the victors of the previous two events, will make the sixth pick to conclude the first round.
