PSL 2024: Rossouw Returns to Quetta Gladiators, Iftikhar Ahmed Joins Multan Sultans
Iftikhar Ahmed is set to represent Multan Sultans in the ninth edition...
Ihsanullah, a pacer from Pakistan, is getting ready to play for the Multan Sultans in the ninth Pakistan Super League (PSL).
With 22 wickets in 12 innings, Ihsanullah, 21, was the second-highest wicket-taker in PSL 8. The right-arm pacemaker needed surgery because of elbow problems he began to experience after the competition.
The 21-year-old, nevertheless, is now primed to dominate the PSL once more as he has resumed bowling at full speed in the nets.
Ihsanullah revealed to Geo News that he is not only bowling at full speed but also swinging the ball in various directions during a training session.
“The rehabilitation after the elbow surgery went great, I have been bowling for the past 15 days,” Ihsanullah said. “I’m feeling way better than before, I tried to swing the ball with full pace during the practice sessions, and I was able to do it accurately.
“Missing the World Cup due to surgery was painful, I was disturbed but I told myself that injuries are part of the game.
“I am trying my best to get rid of the fear and start bowling with the pace. I will try to pick up from where I left off.”
It’s important to note that Ihsanullah’s outstanding performance throughout the competition earned him the title of PSL 8 player of the tournament.
He was the first up-and-coming talent among the tournament’s more seasoned and well-known stars to be chosen best.
Recall that PSL 9 will begin in Lahore on February 17. The first game will pit Islamabad United, the winners of the 2016 and 2018 championships, against Lahore Qalandars, the current champions and two-time winners.
