Entering the game as the fifth bowler in the ninth over, Hasaranga’s sixth delivery dismissed Takudzwanashe Kaitano, setting the stage for a remarkable display of skill. In a gripping 10-ball sequence, he claimed three wickets for just four runs. Despite a no-ball resulting in two runs and a six from Luke Jongwe, Hasaranga remained undeterred, finishing the innings with the last two wickets in hand.

The final figures of 5.5-1-19-7 solidified Hasaranga’s comeback as the fifth-best bowling performance in men’s ODI history. His exceptional performance played a pivotal role in bowling out Zimbabwe for a mere 96 runs in 22.5 overs.
