Babar Azam plays powerful shot off Barry McCarthy
Babar Azam, the newly reinstated captain of Pakistan’s white-ball team, had a standout performance in his team’s first T20I against Ireland, delivering a spectacular innings that laid the groundwork for a substantial score. Babar’s forceful shot off Barry McCarthy was particularly noteworthy, as it almost injured his batting partner, Saim Ayub.

After two successive dot balls, McCarthy bowled a full-length delivery, which Babar powerfully drove down the ground.

Despite the impressive innings from Babar and Ayub, Pakistan experienced a batting collapse in their first game against the Irish.
Ayub contributed 45 runs, while Babar delivered a stylish 57, adorned with eight fours and one six.
Craig Young emerged as a key player for Ireland, taking two crucial wickets in his four-over spell.
