The Markhors struggled to find stability after choosing to bat first, collapsing to 122 all out in just 33.4 overs during the final of the Champions One-Day Cup at Faisalabad’s Iqbal Stadium.

Zain Abbas was the first wicket to fall, caught by Umar Siddiq off Mohammad Hasnain’s delivery for 6 runs from 8 balls. Fakhar Zaman offered a glimmer of hope with a solid 46 off 49 balls, hitting five boundaries and a six, before being caught by Rizwan Mehmood off Sajid Khan’s bowling.

Kamran Ghulam followed soon after for just 2 runs, trapped leg-before by Ali Raza, leaving the Markhors in early trouble at 26/2. Haseebullah Khan (27) and Bismillah Khan (16) attempted to rebuild but couldn’t anchor the innings. Haseebullah was bowled by Sajid, while Bismillah was caught by Abdul Bangalzai off Arafat Minhas.

Captain Iftikhar Ahmed, who was expected to stabilize the innings, managed only 3 runs before being dismissed leg-before by Hasnain. Abdul Samad also failed to make an impact, falling without scoring, caught by Sajid off Hasnain’s bowling.

The lower order offered little resistance, with only Zahid Mahmood (7 not out) and Akif Javed (8 off 8 balls) making any notable contribution. The tail crumbled quickly as Mohammad Imran and Shahnawaz Dahani were dismissed cheaply by Arafat Minhas.

Hasnain and Minhas were the pick of the bowlers, each claiming three wickets, while Sajid Khan chipped in with two key dismissals.
