Pakistan reveals playing XI for third Test against England
The Pakistan men’s national selection committee has announced the playing XI for the third and final Test against England, scheduled to begin in Rawalpindi on Thursday, October 24.
The three-match Test series has showcased contrasting performances from both teams. England opened the series with a dominant win by an innings and 47 runs in Multan.
However, Pakistan made a strong comeback in the second Test, securing victory by 152 runs, thus leveling the series. This victory enabled Pakistan to equal the three-match series at 1-1, setting the stage for an exciting final match.
To recreate the successful conditions from the second Test, the selectors and team management have instructed the curators in Rawalpindi to prepare a pitch similar to that of Multan.
Traditionally known for being favorable to batsmen, the Pindi pitch will be modified, with curators using large pedestal fans and heaters to dry the surface and square.
