Perth Stadium is gearing up for an exciting summer of cricket with the installation of a drop-in pitch ahead of the upcoming white-ball series between Pakistan and Australia.

Pakistan will tour Australia in November for a six-match white-ball series, beginning with the ODI series on November 4. The series opener will take place at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), while Perth Stadium will host the third ODI on November 10. Following the ODI series, a three-match T20I series will kick off on November 14.

The ODI between Pakistan and Australia marks the first match of the season at Perth Stadium, which will also host the West Test from November 22-26 as part of the Border-Gavaskar series against India.

Additionally, the stadium will host five home matches for the Perth Scorchers during the Big Bash League (BBL) 14 season, including the much-anticipated season opener on December 15 against the Melbourne Stars.

The drop-in pitch, installed in collaboration with HG Turf, was carefully transported to the Perth Stadium playing field using a unique 30-meter-long, 40-tonne cricket wicket transporter, the only one of its kind in Western Australia.

Cricket Australia (CA) has announced a 14-member squad for the three-match home ODI series against Pakistan. Notably, reigning world champions Australia will be without Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh, both on paternity leave. They will be replaced by Jake Fraser-McGurk and Matthew Short, who are expected to open the innings together.
