The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) revealed the playing XI for the first T20I match against Zimbabwe, set to take place on Sunday, December 1, at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo. The three-match series will run from December 1 to December 5.

Under the captaincy of Salman Ali Agha, the team includes a blend of youthful talent and experience. Batters like Saim Ayub, Omair Bin Yousuf, Usman Khan, Tayyab Tahir, Muhammad Irfan Khan, and Jahandad Khan headline the batting lineup. On the bowling side, Muhammad Abbas Afridi, Haris Rauf, Abrar Ahmed, and Sufyan Moqim will lead Pakistan’s attack.

Addressing a press conference in Bulawayo, skipper Agha emphasized the team’s determination to win the series. “We won the one-day series, now our target is to win the T20I series,” he stated. Agha stressed the importance of giving young players maximum opportunities, ensuring they gain valuable international experience.

Highlighting the squad’s approach, Agha said the team will focus on maintaining their aggressive playing style in the shortest format. “We have to give young players maximum opportunity in this series,” he added.

Acknowledging the challenge posed by the opponents, Agha praised Zimbabwe as a tough side on their home turf, adding that his team will work to counter their key players.

Earlier, Pakistan clinched a 2-1 victory in the ODI series after a resounding 99-run win in the decider, led by Kamran Ghulam’s maiden century and a commendable bowling performance. Pakistan will look to carry this momentum into the T20I series.
