Dubai: Pakistan will face Afghanistan in the U19 tri-series final at the ICC Cricket Academy Ground on Tuesday. The toss is scheduled for 10:00 AM PKT, with the match set to start at 10:30 AM PKT.
Both teams have played four matches in the seven-match series, winning three games each and losing one, while hosts UAE finished winless.
Pakistan, led by Saad Baig, secured a 13-run victory over Afghanistan in their last encounter on 20 November. However, Afghanistan, captained by Mahboob Khan, dominated Pakistan with a 100-run win in their first meeting on 15 November.
Pakistan’s victories against the UAE were emphatic, winning by 10 wickets and 191 runs, respectively.
Left-arm spinner Mohammad Hassan Khan has been ruled out of the final and the upcoming ACC U19 Men’s Asia Cup due to a left ankle injury. His replacement for the Asia Cup will be announced soon.
Saad Baig expressed confidence ahead of the final, saying:
“We have performed well in the tournament and are looking forward to the final. The players have embraced their roles, which has been crucial to our success. This series has prepared us well for the Asia Cup.”
