The Pakistan blind cricket team secured a spot in the Blind T20 World Cup 2024 final with a commanding 10-wicket victory over Nepal in the first semi-final at the Multan Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

Chasing a modest target of 95 runs, Pakistan comfortably achieved the win in just 5.3 overs without losing a wicket. Kamran Akhtar, the star opener, was unstoppable, smashing 63 runs off 21 balls, including 13 boundaries and a six.

His opening partner, Babar Ali, contributed a quickfire 32 not out off 14 deliveries, ensuring a smooth chase.

Earlier, Nepal struggled to make an impact while batting first, managing only 94/7 in their 20 overs. Despite Durgadatta Paudel’s valiant 40 off 42 balls, Nepal’s batting lineup faltered against Pakistan’s formidable bowling attack.

Ramesh Baniyan added an unbeaten 17, but the rest of the batters failed to reach double figures.

With this emphatic win, Pakistan advances to the final, where they will face the winner of the Sri Lanka vs. Bangladesh semi-final. The championship match is scheduled to take place at the Multan Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.
