The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed that the match between the Pakistan national cricket team and the United Arab Emirates national cricket team has been delayed by one hour. The match, originally set to begin at 7:30 PM, will now start at 8:30 PM.

After hours of uncertainty, the Pakistan team has finally left their hotel for the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. PCB spokesperson Aamer Mir informed the media about the delay, saying they are hoping to share good news about the match soon. He added that the PCB Chairman will personally update the media on further details.

Earlier, the Pakistan squad was stopped from heading to the stadium as their departure was made conditional on PCB’s official approval. Players were told to return to their hotel rooms while the board held internal discussions.

Meanwhile, the International Cricket Council (ICC) continued its emergency meeting to resolve the situation. It remains unclear whether the match referee will be changed or an official apology will be issued.

Sources said the PCB had called media representatives to Gaddafi Stadium while holding consultations. Former PCB chairmen Ramiz Raja and Najam Sethi were also part of the discussions.
