Cricket Australia on Wednesday announced its preliminary squad for the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, confirming the return of key players Pat Cummins, Cameron Green, and Cooper Connolly.
The trio had missed the recent series against India, making their inclusion a major boost for the team ahead of the global tournament.
Chief selector George Bailey stated that Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, and Tim David are fully fit and expected to be available for the World Cup. He added that this is an initial squad, and changes may be made during the preparation period if necessary.
The squad features prominent players, including captain Mitchell Marsh, Xavier Bartlett, Cooper Connolly, Nathan Ellis, Pat Cummins, Tim David, Cameron Green, Josh Hazlewood, Travis Head, Josh Inglis, Matthew Kuhnemann, Glenn Maxwell, Matthew Short, Marcus Stoinis, and Adam Zampa.

Bailey also confirmed that the squad for Australia’s three T20 matches against Pakistan will be announced later.
The ICC T20 World Cup 2026 is scheduled to start on 7 February 2026, co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka
