LAHORE: A delegation from Cricket Australia reached Lahore to inspect arrangements for the upcoming Pakistan tour.

According to sources, the team is scheduled to inspect the venues, including Gaddafi Stadium, the National Cricket Academy (NCA), and the LCCA Ground.

During the visit, officials from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and security agencies will brief the delegation on preparations and security measures.

Australia’s T20 squad is expected to tour Pakistan late next month, with a three-match T20I series planned between the two sides. Sources indicate that all three fixtures are likely to be hosted in Lahore.

Earlier, Australia secured a convincing 8-wicket victory over England in the Brisbane Test, reaching the target of 65 runs for the loss of just 2 wickets.

With this win, Australia leads the five-match Ashes series 2-0. In the second innings, Australian captain Steve Smith scored 23 runs while Travis Head contributed 22.

England posted 334 runs in their first innings and 241 in the second, while Australia had amassed 511 runs in their first innings.

Notably, the first Test of the series also ended in just two days, with Australia defeating England by 8 wickets after chasing 205 runs for the loss of 2 wickets.
