In the most recent ICC ODI Batting Rankings, Pakistan’s left-handed opener Imam-ul-Haq beat India’s leading batsman Virat Kohli to clinch his career-high second position.

Imam, who had a great home ODI series against the West Indies, has been rewarded for his extraordinary performance by achieving a career-high second place in the ICC ODI Batting Rankings.
Imam scored 199 runs at an average of 66.33 in the recently finished series against the West Indies, aided by three straight half-centuries. Following his outstanding performance, Imam was also named the series’ best player.
Imam, who has made the second-most consecutive half-centuries in ODI cricket (7), has dethroned Virat, who had held the second slot since April 2021.
The left-handed batsman surpassed Kohli in the rankings by achieving a career-high 815 ranking points compared to Kohli’s 811 points.
Babar Azam, the all-format captain for Pakistan, has maintained the top position with 892 rating points.

He scored 181 runs in 3 innings at an average of 60.30. It includes a half-century and a ton.
