The Indian commentator-commentator-cum-analyst lauded Imam after he overcame Kohli in the ICC ODI rankings to take third place.
Chopra said, “Imam will remain ahead of Virat Kohli for a while,” Chopra predicted. “No doubt, Imam is a very good batter and he will go in a long run. The current form of Kohli is not so good and also he will not play ODI anytime soon, so I think, Imam will keep the second position for now,”
It should be highlighted that Imam scored the most runs in the finished three-match home ODI series against the West Indies earlier this month. In three matches, he scored 199 runs at an average of 66.33 and a strike rate of 94.
