The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Thursday declared that the bowling action of the fast bowler Mohammad Hasnain has been deemed lawful.

The amount of elbow extension in the reassessment fell within the 15-degree tolerance allowed by the ICC Illegal Bowling Regulations. He can now continue bowling in international and domestic cricket around the world.

Hasnain was prohibited from bowling after tests were done on his bowling motion on January 21 at the ICC-accredited testing center in Lahore. The test report, which was examined and validated by an independent expert from Cricket Australia, revealed that his bowling action was prohibited.

As required by ICC regulations, Hasnain’s bowling action was reevaluated on 21 May at the ICC’s approved testing center in Lahore, and the report was again validated by Cricket Australia’s independent specialists.

In January, Hasnain was reported for a questionable bowling action during Cricket Australia’s local league.

Hasnain has represented Pakistan in 8 one-day internationals averaging 37.9 and 18 Twenty20 internationals averaging 30.7.
