The championship was held in Colombo from November 27 to 30. Previously, Kashif Rehan had also earned a gold medal at the Asian Masters Weightlifting Championship.
Despite his success in Qatar at the Asian Masters event, Rehan faced financial difficulties back home in Quetta. He had to borrow funds to cover expenses for the Sri Lanka competition.
Kashif revealed that even for the Doha event, he did not receive government support and had to sell his car to participate. His achievements underscore his perseverance, dedication, and commitment to representing Pakistan at the highest level.
