A fresh identity has officially entered the Pakistan Super League landscape, blending tradition with ambition as the league continues to expand its national and commercial footprint.
On Wednesday, franchise owner Kamil Khan revealed the name and logo of the newest PSL team, confirming it as Sialkot Stallionz. The franchise was secured by OZ Developers for Rs1.85 billion during the auction held on January 8, fueling widespread speculation that has now been put to rest.
Taking to X, Khan announced the development, writing: “You guessed it. You waited. Now, I am proud to officially introduce SIALKOT STALLIONZ.”

Sharing his enthusiasm, Kamil Khan said he was eager to embark on the PSL journey and contribute to the continued growth of Pakistan’s flagship T20 league.
The 11th edition of the PSL is scheduled to begin on March 26, 2026, with Faisalabad added as an additional host city, marking its return to top-tier cricket and reinforcing the league’s expanding national reach.
The franchise name pays tribute to the iconic Sialkot Stallions, a dominant force in Pakistan’s domestic cricket. From 2005 to 2012, the team clinched six National T20 Cup titles and produced a record 25-match unbeaten run, establishing itself as the most successful side in the country’s domestic T20 history.

The announcement comes shortly after the Pakistan Cricket Board confirmed a landmark shift in player recruitment, introducing a player auction system for the first time in PSL history, replacing the traditional draft mechanism.
Under the new structure, franchises will be permitted to retain a maximum of four players, restricted to one per category. Previously, teams were allowed to retain up to eight players, along with additional provisions such as a mentor, brand ambassador, and a right-to-match option for an extra player.
