American computer brand, Dell, earlier in January had teased that its Mobile connect feature will become more iPhone friendly.

Dell has updated Mobile Connect to enable both file transfers and screen mirroring for iPhones.

The file transfers are limited to photos and videos, but it would help to save your iPhone snap collections on your XPS kaptop.

Meanwhile, screen-mirroring seems much more friendly as you can see your iPhone’s screen on your desktop and control it with your keyboard or touchscreen.

That can be helpful if you want to catch up on an app that doesn’t have a web equivalent.

This software can improve parity between Andorid and iPhones in Mobile Connect.

And this also makes Dell’s app a more viable option for iPhone owners than Microsoft’s Your Phone.

So long as you’re content to stick with Dell PCs, you may not need more software to get some basic integration.

This feature from the computer company rolls out as part of Dell Mobile Connect version 3.0 on the Microsoft Store and Apple App Store.

Earlier, only only Android phones were able to use screen mirroring and file transfers with Dell Mobile Connect.

This update brings both platforms in line, allowing you to do more with your phone without taking it out of your pocket.

Importantly, it also gives Dell Mobile Connect a leg up of Microsoft’s Your Phone app when it comes to iOS devices.
