Last week, Infinix unveiled a trio of new gadgets, including the Note 12. An anonymous tipster sent us images of a new model along with some information about it, indicating that this was only the beginning of a new series.
According to our source, this is part of the Note series, and based on what we know, it will be a higher-end device than the vanilla 12 – potentially a follow-up to the Infinix Note 11 Pro.
On the rear, you can see the 108 MP label, which is a significant boost over the Note 12’s 50 MP 1/2.8″ sensor. There’s also an auxiliary camera, which, based on the “12-24 mm” label, appears to be an ultra wide module (the vanilla Note only got a 2 MP depth sensor extra). On the Zero X Pro, Infinix previously employed a 108 MP sensor (an ISOCELL HM2).
Anyway, according to our source, the Helio G96 will most likely power this Note variant. This means faster CPU cores (two A76 cores instead of two A75), a comparable Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, and support for 108 MP sensors as compared to the G88 present within the vanilla device.
We tried an Infinix concept phone with 160W rapid charging last year. However, no Infinix has yet to break the 100W threshold in production, which might change with the new Note.
