According to reports, OnePlus will release its first foldable phone next year. OnePlus is one of the few Android smartphone firms with a global presence in the premium class, alongside Samsung.
Folding cellphones, on the other hand, are glaringly absent from the company’s inventory. OnePlus is working to change that, and according to the latest claim, it might happen as soon as next year.
For months, OnePlus has been the subject of rumors about folding phones.
According to a report from April, OnePlus’ first folding smartphone would be based on the Oppo Find N, which was released in China in December.
A November 2021 report said that the business was working on a tri-folding smartphone with two hinges. However, there is currently no precise information available on that device.
Max Jambor, a reputable tipster, has now tweeted a teaser image implying that OnePlus will release a foldable phone in 2023.

However, it appears like other foldable phones are under development. According to Jambor, the company is working on “several” folding items for 2023.
He didn’t provide any details about any of these gadgets, leading the outlet to assume that one of them could be the second-generation Oppo Find N, which is due out later this year.
Given that many of OnePlus’ phones are either rebranded or significantly redesigned copies of existing Oppo smartphones, this isn’t a far-fetched thought.
OnePlus’ multiple Foldable Smartphones
If OnePlus delivers more foldable devices next year, it will be interesting to see how their designs differ.
While the Oppo Find N is a Galaxy Z Fold-style gadget that unfolds into a tablet, OnePlus might possibly release a clamshell foldable similar to the Galaxy Z Flip 3 or the Moto Razr (2019).
There are at least three options when you consider the tri-folding gadget that the company invented in 2021.
It’s worth mentioning that, regardless of how many folding smartphones OnePlus produces in 2023, not all of them will be intended for international markets.
Currently, the business only distributes a limited number of gadgets in the United States, so it will be fascinating to see if this policy applies to its foldables next year.
The Oppo Find N was only accessible in China, but if the company’s foldables are rebranded by OnePlus, future folding phones could be available in more places across the world.
