
Etsy Purchase Protection Program
- Etsy, the online marketplace, said on Monday that the latest Purchase Protection programme for buyers and sellers.
- Beginning August 1st, customers will be eligible for a full refund if their purchases do not match the item’s description, arrive damaged; or do not arrive at all.
- The business also plans to invest at least $25 million per year in the purchase protection programme.

The purchase protection program would cover refunds for qualifying orders up to $250; on behalf of sellers at no cost to them. The investment, according to Etsy, will allow sellers to keep their earnings from purchases even if events beyond their control occur. “Easy issue resolution is a critical feature of the e-commerce buying experience,” Etsy COO Raina Moskowitz said, “and our new Etsy Purchase Protection programme intends to help make shopping on Etsy even more stress-free.” “While we invest in our sellers to provide them with a critical layer of protection, we hope that this initiative will give shoppers more confidence when shopping from small businesses on this platform.”
