While the FB has always taken steps to address potentially harmful reviews, the new policy codifies existing guidelines.

People who submit bogus poor reviews in order to earn refunds or other freebies from a business that wants to delight its consumers are protected by FB’s new restrictions, which are also designed to address incentivized reviews.
