In addition to two MateBook laptops, Huawei is introducing its Freebuds Pro 2 wireless earphones with active noise cancellation to the European market.

Although all three devices have travelled to different shores, this is their first voyage west.

Freebuds Pro 2

The company’s premier TWS pair is the Huawei Freebuds Pro 2. Dual drivers are used in each bud to create what Huawei refers to as a “Hi-Res Dual sound system.” From 14 kHz to 48 kHz, the earbuds can detail sound.

The Freebuds Pro 2 can cancel out noise up to 48dB, an increase from the 40dB of their predecessor.

Like other earbuds, the Freebuds Pro 2 can detect ambient noises and cancel them out while on the phone.

A new deep neural network technique that learns and adjusts over time is what Huawei improved here. A wonderful sound should be produced as a result of the collaboration with Devialet.

The Freebuds Pro 2 have a battery life of up to 30 hours when the case and earbuds are used together. You can expect 4 hours with ANC and up to 6 and a half hours without when using just the buds.

The Huawei Freebuds Pro 2 are available in Ceramic White, Silver Blue, and Silver Frost (the black ones). The TWS will go on sale starting July 6 for £170.

MateBook 16s

The company’s top laptop is the Huawei MateBook 16s. Although it shares a lot of similarities with the Matebook 16 from a year ago, Huawei has switched to the newest 12th generation Intel processors this time around.

You can select either the Core i7-12700H or the Core i9-12900H (all of which have 6 performance cores and 8 efficiency cores) (also 6 performance and 8 efficient cores, but a maximum boost of 5GHz).

The same 16-inch 2520x1680px 3:2 touchscreen panel serves as the display. It supports the entire sRGB gamut, has a 1500:1 contrast ratio, and can produce up to 300 nits of brightness.

The panel is calibrated with a Delta E average of less than 1.

Since a separate GPU is not there, the Intel Iris Xe handles graphics. A 512GB or 1TB NVMe PCIe drive and 16GB of LPDDR4x RAM are included.

An 84 Wh battery and a 135W charger are included with the MateBook 16s.

Starting on July 13, Huawei will start selling the MateBook 16s through its official retail location. The Core i9 model costs €1,500, while the Core i7 model costs £1,300.

A free MateView GT 27 display will be given to customers who buy an i7 model between July 13 and July 23, and a free MateView monitor will be given to customers who buy an i9 model between July 13 and July 26.

MateBook D16

In terms of hierarchy, the Huawei MateBook D16 is one level beneath the 16s. It has a more normal 16:10 display, which still has a little more vertical room than a 16:9 panel.

Even though the resolution is slightly lower at 1920x1200px, the MateBook 16s’ 3:2 panel’s brightness and colour spectrum capabilities are comparable.

The MateBook D16 is equipped with an i7-12700H or an i5-12500H processor, Intel Iris Xe graphics, 16GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and 512GB of NVMe PCIe storage, rounding out its specifications.
