In the Android world, the line between affordable and upper midrange phones is blurring. Low-end and affordable devices now include many technologies that were previously reserved for the best phones on the market. It is no longer unusual to see an affordable phone with a 120 Hz refresh rate or an OLED screen, and Nokia Mobile is largely responsible for the changes seen in budget devices.

The affordable Nokia phones are bringing good build quality and some nice specs on a budget, and a nice example is Nokia G21. However, there are some newcomers from Nokia that will also be featuring options reserved for more expensive devices.

The Nokia G400 5G and Nokia G100 for the US market will include Qualcomm aptx software, which will improve the quality of the connection for these devices. The Nokia G400 5G will include aptX, aptX HD, and aptX Adaptive, while the Nokia G100 will include aptX and aptX HD. This means that the G400 5G and G100 will have excellent sound quality and BT connectivity.

aptX works by compressing and decompressing audio as it travels from a source device, such as a phone, to a receiving device, such as wireless Bluetooth earbuds, without compromising quality. Hopefully, we’ll see similar features in other Nokia devices that aren’t limited to the US market. Perhaps Juho is still thinking about and caring for Nokia Mobile, hehe.
