Despite a recent unveiling of the phone’s back design, information about the impending Nothing phone (1) has been scant.
The second product from London-based firm Nothing, the much-anticipated smartphone, will have a distinctive, semi-transparent rear plate that provides a glimpse into some of the phone’s internal components.

However, some customers are concerned about the phone’s protection due to the new design and may choose to cover their Nothing phone (1) with a case.
After all, using a case on the Nothing phone (1) would entirely conceal the design, which is one of its distinguishing features.
Marques Brownlee, a US-based tech YouTuber, also showed his concern.
In a tweet, Brownlee mentioned how a case for the Nothing phone (1) would significantly detract from its aesthetic appeal.

Carl Pei, the creator of Nothing, said that the business had the problem “covered.”
His tweet makes a suggestion that the phone might (1) launch with a case or cover that either matches the phone’s appearance or exhibits some transparency to enable the design underneath show through.

Although the latter appears more likely, according to a recent leak on Twitter, we still don’t know if users will have to purchase the smartphone case separately or as part of the purchase of this Nothing phone (1).
Nothing phone (1): What is currently known
The Nothing phone (1) is scheduled to debut on July 12 of next month and is anticipated to go on sale soon after.
Although the phone’s internal components are still a secret, we do know that it will have a dual rear camera configuration, wireless charging capabilities, and a Qualcomm CPU.

According to leaks, the phone may be powered by an upper midrange chipset, most likely the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, and although this has not yet been confirmed, it may support 45W wired charging.
In the coming weeks building up to the launch, we should learn more about the phone.
