Oppo has an exceptional presence in the Japanese market; its goods are frequently exclusive to that market, as is the case with the most recent launch.
The company introduced the Oppo Reno7 A smartphone – a follow-up to the Reno5 A from last year. It has a Snapdragon 695 chipset with 5G capabilities and a light body – just 175 grams packed in a thin 7.6 mm handset.
The Reno7 A has a 6.4” AMOLED with up to 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. The resolution is Full HD+ and the panel has the fingerprint scanner underneath, as well as a single punch hole for the 16MP f/2.0 selfie camera.
On the back, there are three cameras: a 48 MP f/1.7 primary camera, an 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide camera, and a 2MP f/2.4 macro camera. It has various features, such as AI Palette, which artificially changes colours to make portraits and landscapes more aesthetically acceptable.
The Reno7 A has an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, as well as NFC. ColorOS 12 is the operating system, although Android 11 is installed below. The battery has a capacity of 4,500mAh and can charge at 18W.
Oppo charges JPY44,800 (about $350) for the Reno7 A with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. Outside of Japan, the device is extremely unlikely to appear.
