Qualcomm Technologies has said that it will use its current roadmap and market position in RF front end (RFFE) for handsets to expand its knowledge into new device categories. Because Wi-Fi is expanding into the 6GHz band and the new Wi-Fi 7 standard is being developed.
The company announced a new product line for Wi-Fi 7 in May 2022. It enhances Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
Wi-Fi RFFE modules connect the baseband chip and antennas to amplify and modify wireless signals.
The new 5G/Wi-Fi modules complement Qualcomm ultraBAW filters to enable 5G/Wi-Fi concurrency in cellular devices. These modules help manufacturers make Wi-Fi clients quickly and economically.
The Comapany Technologies’ announcement of RFFE modules supports its goal of expanding its phone range with modem-to-antenna solutions into the automotive and IoT sectors, making it a global RFFE revenue leader across industries.
Qualcomm Using 5G
The Comapany says most 5G automotive, 5G fixed wireless access CPEs, and 5G PC devices use its chipsets. Wearables are adopting Thecomapany RFFE.
