Instead, the new flow asks for more information about what happened before becoming more specific about which rules were breached. Instead of getting to specifics, Twitter’s blog post compared the new procedure to a doctor asking, “Where does it hurt?”
The testing has shown favourable findings thus far. The App says the number of “actionable reports” increased by 50 percent as a result of the new process.
The launch of the new reporting flow coincides with increasing criticism of Twitter’s moderation practises following Elon Musk’s proposed takeover of the company.
Musk’s position as a “free speech absolutist” implies he’d want the corporation to adopt a more flexible approach to content management if he were to take control. However, with Tesla’s CEO threatening to cancel the transaction on many occasions, it’s unclear when, or even if, the sale will be finalised.

Earlier, Elon Musk has threatened to withdraw Twitter for $ 44 billion, accusing the social media company of wanting to know more about its user base.
In a letter to regulators, Musk said he has the right to directly measure spam accounts. In the letter, Musk said he was waiting for further information on the heated debate in the weeks after announcing that the deal had been “suspended.”
Twitter defended its prediction. But Musk said spam and fake accounts are much more common than the less than 5% of Twitter users reported to the public every day.
