Yogi added many other RSS officials had a scientific viewpoint and were visionaries working for the country’s progress.

“India has always been receptive to scientific knowledge,” remarked the prime minister. Solar and lunar eclipses happen on Amawasya (no moon) and Purnima (full moon) according to the Hindu calendar. It reflects the Hindu calendar’s science.

He said, “The great Indian scientist, Jagdish Chandra Bose, conducted experiments to prove plants feel heat, cold, light, noise, happiness, and pain. His instrument, the Crescograph, can measure plant growth.”

“Krishna’s teaching to Arjun in Bhagwad Gita which is now 5000- years old, still has meaning in modern times,” Yogi said.

The chief minister lamented the rise of large institutions without any attempt to gather data and retain records to assist solve issues. University academics sought promotions but seldom published research.
