Snapchat Plus reaches 1 million paid subscribers and gets updates
Snapchat Plus launched in June and lets users test early and experimental features for a monthly charge. Snap Inc. revealed additional premium features in its August update today.
Most of the new update’s features are aesthetic. Plus, users get Priority Story Replies.
This will make your replies to Snap Stars more noticeable. Users can replace the blue hollow arrow that displays after a communication is read with an emoji.
Bitmojis will gain “gleaming gold” and a tropical beach background.
The background is marble. Last, users can personalise Snapchat app icons.
These updates are relatively mild, but the business promises more shortly.
The company formerly offered Snapchat icons and a Snapchat Plus badge. Members can also pin chats and see who has rewatched their narrative.
Snap Inc. later launched a web-based service. You could talk, call, and share videos, but not use AR.
The service seems popular so far. Snap Inc. has 1 million paid subscribers.
The service launched on June 29, which makes the service less than two months old. Snapchat Plus is now available in over 20 regions.
If you want to join, you can find the Plus setting in your profile and click on it. Each month, Snapchat Plus will cost $3.99.
