Google Pixel Tablet Pro
Google has already confirmed that it is working on a Pixel Tablet, with a full reveal scheduled for 2023, but it appears that an unnamed Pro version of the slate is also in the works.
The latest version of Android 13’s code has been examined by 9to5Google(opens in new tab), and they found evidence of a tablet with the codename “tangorpro.”
Given that the regular Pixel Tablet is known as “tangor” in the Android source code, the connection is clear.
The Pixel Tablet Pro appears to be employing a different rear camera sensor than the original tablet, which is the only additional piece of information made available here.
You may anticipate camera enhancements to be one of the reasons the two models differ.
Although the Pixel Tablet’s existence is acknowledged, not much else is. Beyond that, we’re reliant on leaks and hearsay.
We know what it will look like and that it will use the same Tensor chipset as the Google Pixel 6 phones.
It appears that the slate will contain some kind of stylus support. However, this does not guarantee that one will be provided.
Meanwhile, Android code tweaks indicate that we’re looking at a low-cost tablet with basic specs.
If that turns out to be the case, it would make sense for Google to be working on a more expensive, higher-end model as well.
This model would have superior performance for productivity while travelling, similar to what Apple’s iPad Pro offers.
