Samsung has added a few new ways to customise the lock screen with Android 13 and One UI 5.0 beta. This makes the user experience even better by giving them more ways to make the UI their own. But the idea isn’t completely new.

To the point, LockStar offers more customization options than One UI 5.0 beta 3 firmware. It appears Samsung copied certain LockStar functionality for One UI 5.0.
One UI 5.0 is like LockStar without Good Lock. That’s good, considering Good Lock’s limited availability. This is typical for Samsung’s Good Lock platform.
The latter is used to test new concepts and ideas, some of which end up in the One UI firmware.

Examples include LockStar and One UI 5.0’s third upgrade. Good Lock/Lockstar users will recognise the new lock screen settings, although they’re more streamlined and part of the default user experience.
