The next-generation phone that will replace the Samsung Galaxy S22 is coming to the market at the speed of light. In the meantime, the certification cycle for the lineup has begun. After getting signed by BIS, the Galaxy S23+ moved to the Geekbench database, where important specs were made public. So far, here’s what we know:

Before we get to the juicy part, it’s important to note that Samsung might be changing its strategy this year by not treating the Asian, European, and Middle Eastern markets differently from the US when it comes to its Snapdragon version. The rumour mill says that the core of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus, Ultra, and standard models of 2023 will all be Snapdragon CPUs.
Back to the latest report, the Galaxy S23+ was just seen on the Geekbench scoreboard, confirming that it has the Snapdragon 8-based SoC that has been rumoured for a long time. Without a doubt, every S23 sibling has the same chipset at its core.

The document shows the model number SM-S916U and silicon that is mounted on a board that has the code “Kalama” written on it. On Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, the single main core has been clocked up to 3.36 GHz. The other less powerful cores have speeds of 2.8 GHz and 2.02 GHz.

The Adreno 740 GPU built into the S23+ takes graphics performance to the next level. When the processor, 8GB of memory, and Android 13 operating system are all put together, it gets 1485 points for a single core and 4844 points for all eight cores. The latest 5G Samsung mobile scoreboard doesn’t show anything else that’s interesting.

The Geekbench database has also added the Samsung Galaxy S23 and S23 Ultra in vanilla. On the single-core and multicore tests, the first one got 1524 and 4597 points, and the second one got 1521 and 4689 points, respectively.

It is said that non-ultra HD Samsung Galaxies with 8 GB of RAM will come with 128 or 256 GB of storage. The cameras on the S23 and S23+ are likely to be the same as on the S22 and S22 Plus: 50 MP, 12 MP, and 10 MP. The Galaxy S23+ will likely start at a price of $999.
