Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella plans to buy Netflix in 2023, reports say. Nadella has gone on a lavish shopping spree since since he was promoted in 2014.
The $2.5 billion purchase of the Minecraft developer was the first step. Microsoft eventually spent $26 billion to acquire LinkedIn. Afterward, for the sum of $20 billion, the firm purchased Nuance, a producer of speech recognition and AI technologies. The corporation is now in the midst of paying $69 billion to acquire Activision Blizzard.

Netflix chose Microsoft as its ad partner for a new ad-supported service. Netflix also counts Microsoft President Brad Smith among its board members.
