Xiaomi 13 Pro and Xiaomi 13 with Snapdragon 8 Gen, initiated were released in China on Sunday, more than a week after the smartphones were supposed to be released. Xiaomi’s new flagship smartphone series is powered by Qualcomm’s latest top-of-the-line Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and includes Leica-branded back cameras. The Xiaomi 13 Pro and Xiaomi 13 are available in four colour variations, and they have a number of improvements over last year’s Xiaomi 12 models, such as 120Hz OLED displays, a 32-megapixel selfie camera, and an IP68 rating for water and dust protection.
The Xiaomi 13 Pro comes with a 4,820mAh battery that supports 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, while the Xiaomi 13 comes with a 4,500mAh battery that supports 67W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
The Xiaomi 13 Pro starts at CNY 4,999 (about Rs. 59,000) for the 8GB + 128GB edition and CNY 5,399 for the 8GB+256GB variant (roughly 64,000). The 12GB + 256GB model costs CNY 5,799 (about Rs. 68,700), while the top-end model costs CNY 6,299 (approximately Rs. 68,700). (roughly Rs. 74,600).
The Xiaomi 13 costs CNY 3,999 (approximately Rs. 47,300) for the base 8GB + 128GB edition, CNY 4,299 (approximately Rs. 51,000) for the 8GB + 256GB variant, and CNY 4,599 (approximately Rs. 54,500) for the 12GB + 256GB variant. The top-of-the-line model with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage costs CNY 4,999. (roughly Rs. 59,000).
Both smartphones are available in Ceramic White, Ceramic Black, Flora Green (Ceramic), and Mountain Blue colours. Both Xiaomi gadgets are now available for pre-order and will be ready for purchase in China on December 14.
The dual-SIM (Nano-SIM) Xiaomi 13 Pro runs MIUI 14 and has a 6.73-inch OLED 2K (1,440×3,200 pixels) display with Dolby Vision, HDR10+ compatibility, a touch sampling rate of up to 240Hz, and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The display has a peak brightness of up to 1,900 nits and a colour gamut coverage of DCI-P3. It is protected with Gorilla Glass Victus. The phone is powered by an octa-core 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM.
The Xiaomi 13 Pro features a triple rear camera setup with Leica branding, led by a 50-megapixel 1-inch Sony IMX989 main sensor with HyperOIS and an f/1.9 aperture. A 50-megapixel floating 75mm telephoto sensor with OIS and EIS capability and an f/2 aperture is also included, as is a 50-megapixel wide-angle sensor with a 115-degree view angle and an f/2.2 aperture. Xiaomi has included a 32-megapixel sensor at the front for selfies.
On the Xiaomi 13 Pro, the company provides up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 inbuilt storage. 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.3, NFC, GPS, Beidu, Glonass, Galileo, and a USB Type-C port are among the connectivity choices. An accelerometer, ambient light sensor, colour temperature sensor, distance sensor, e-compass, gyroscope, IR control, and barometer are among the sensors on board. There is also an X-axis linear motor and a laser focus sensor.
The Xiaomi 13 Pro has a 4,820mAh battery that supports cable charging at 120W and wireless charging at 50W. Furthermore, the phone has dimensions of 162.9×74.6×8.38mm and weighs 210 grammes. It has Hi-Res audio certification and dual speakers with Dolby Atmos compatibility. It is also dust and water resistant, with an IP68 rating.
The vanilla flavour Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro have the same SIM, software, and hardware characteristics. The vanilla model has a 6.36 OLED (1,080×2,400 pixel) display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, a touch sampling rate of up to 240Hz, DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage, and a peak brightness of 1,900 nits. In addition, the display supports HDR 10+ and Dolby Vision. It is also equipped with a 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM. It also boasts a 4,642 square millimetre dedicated VC liquid cooling area for enhanced thermal management when gaming.
The Xiaomi 13 has a triple rear camera set with a Leica touch for optics. A 50-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, a 23mm focal length, and HyperOIS, a 10-megapixel secondary sensor with OIS and an f/2.0 aperture, and a 12-megapixel ultra wide sensor with an f/2.2 aperture are all included. A 32-megapixel selfie sensor with an f/2.0 aperture and an 89.6-degree field of vision is located on the front.
