Apple provides OS updates for several older iPhones
Apple has released iOS 12.5.7, macOS 11.7.3, and additional updates for older devices that cannot be updated to the most recent versions.
The iPhone 5S software update addresses various security issues with the device; the update is also available for the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air, iPad mini 2, iPad mini 3, and iPod touch (6th generation).
Apple has also issued iOS 15.7.3 and iPadOS 15.7.3 software updates for other older devices.
iOS 15.7.3 and iPadOS software upgrades are now available for the iPhone 6s, iPhone 7, first-gen iPhone SE, iPad Air 2, iPad Mini 4th gen, and 7th gen iPod Touch.
All of these software updates for older iPhone and iPad models address a variety of software security problems; more details can be found on Apple’s website at the link below.
Apple also published software updates for older Mac models, like macOS Monterey 12.6.3.
The new iOS 12.5.7, iOS 15.7.3, and iPadOS 15.7.3 software upgrades, as well as macOS Monterey 12.6.3, are now available for download. Go to Settings > General > Software Update > Download and Install to install the iPhone and iPad upgrades.
