While Nokia dominates the Symbian keypad phone market, it continues to fall short of producing modern smartphones in the mid-range and premium segments. C12 appears to be very old. With a single camera on the back, hefty bezels, a speaker located on the rear, and the antiquated micro-USB port, it screams 2015. It has an IP52 rating and a bulging camera island on a chamfered polycarbonate backplate.

The Nokia C12 is 8.75 mm thick and weighs 177 grams. The new Nokia addition to the pricing list claims an HD+ resolution at a 60Hz refresh rate with a hefty chin and a water drop patch to disguise the front camera with a 6.3″ IPS LCD.

The phone is powered by a Unisoc SC9863A1 engine, a 28nm out-of-date chipset with eight Cortex-A55 cores (4x 1.6GHz + 4x 1.2GHz), and a PowerVR IMG 8322 GPU. Because it lacks the processing capability to operate a full-featured Android, it runs a lighter Android 12 Go variant. C12 has two gigabytes of actual RAM and doubles that with virtual memory borrowed from storage.

Since C12 falls in the low-end segment, its cameras do not impress. It only has two sensors in total: one for selfies, which is 5 MP, and the primary unit on the back, which is 8 MP. The AI implementation on the camera helps with portraits and night shots.

The Nokia C12 has a headphone jack, 4G connectivity, Wi-Fi b/g/n, and Bluetooth 5.2, and is powered by a 3000 mAh battery and 5W charging.
