WhatsApp allows users to record videos hands-free on iOS beta
WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, is apparently rolling out a new camera mode that would allow users to capture videos hands-free on the iOS beta.
According to WABetaInfo, this feature is being rolled out to some beta testers after installing the current WhatsApp beta for iOS 23.3.0.74 from the TestFlight app.
Users can now easily switch to video mode with a tap and record videos hands-free by tapping and holding.
Furthermore, when filming, you can now switch from the front to the back camera and vice versa, making it easier to capture videos.
According to the report, the new camera option will be available to more customers in the coming days.
It was revealed last month that the messaging platform was working on a new switch camera mode for the iOS beta, which will allow users to move between camera and video modes.
Meanwhile, WhatsApp was apparently bringing out longer group subjects and descriptions on the iOS beta earlier this week, making it easier for users to better characterize groups.
