WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, is apparently working on a new private newsletter feature that will be a one-to-many tool for broadcasting information.
Nevertheless, it is still unclear whether the feature would be termed “Newsletter,” as it appears to be a codename, according to WAbetaInfo.
The tool will most likely be a new way to receive useful updates from individuals or groups.
The Status page is likely to contain an optional section for newsletters, which will be distinct from private chats and will not jeopardize private messaging’s end-to-end encryption.
Furthermore, users will most likely be able to manage who they follow, and no one else will be able to see this, according to the report.
Earlier this month, the messaging platform unveiled new status features such as “Voice Status,” “Status Reactions,” and much more.
The “Voice Status” feature allows users to record and share voice messages on WhatsApp status for up to 30 seconds.
“Status Reactions,” on the other hand, allow users to provide a quick and easy way to respond to status updates from their friends and close contacts.
